Dr. Ankur Prakash

The most influential role models in my personal and professional life were my parents —constantly instilling these values in me: to give love, to be of service, to have gratitude, to enjoy hard work, and to achieve higher education. They have always taught me to laugh and love and give without any expectation of reward. These values are instilled at my core and inspire me to live a life with one sole purpose —to create solutions for people.

While in college at the University of Maryland, I worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for a local Chiropractor. It was here that I first discovered and developed my purpose and passion for serving people through chiropractic. After completing a degree in Psychology, I began chiropractic school in 2000 at Life Chiropractic College West and received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2004.

I left chiropractic school with the goal and drive to help people reduce stress, naturally. I wanted to create an atmosphere that provided people and their communities the resources, accountability and tools to allow them to live longer, healthier lives that are less dependent on drugs and surgeries.

And that is exactly what I did! I opened my first practice in New York in 2004, and now, my second location here in Raleigh, North Carolina. Living Well Balanced is a complete medical and wellness center offering regenerative medicine, chiropractic, massage, fitness, nutrition, cryotherapy, stretching, and infrared therapy. We provide all-inclusive whole-body solutions for chronic conditions like neck and back pain, fatigue, weight loss, headaches, migraines, allergies and much more. Aligning chiropractic principles with additional natural therapies, my methods effectively enhance your body’s natural ability to heal, recover from chronic, daily stress, reduce pain, improve overall health and promote total body wellness without the use of drug therapies or surgeries.

When I’m not tending to my practice members or am out of the office, you can find me relaxing at my Raleigh home. I love gardening and tending the yard, watching movies or football games, exercising with my Personal Trainer or spinning at the local studio.
